A Canadian charity working in the Philippines

Bringing hope to Davao's
most vulnerable

Katargeo Ministries Society is a registered Canadian charity based in Abbotsford, British Columbia — supporting missionary work, church-planting training and social projects across the Philippines for nearly four decades.

What we do

Serving body, mind and spirit

From our base in British Columbia we support front-line ministry in the Philippines — caring for children, feeding the hungry, and training those who will lead new churches.

Church planting & training

Missionary work throughout Asia — primarily in the Philippines — training church planters and walking alongside new congregations as they grow.

Care for children

Our heritage is the House of the Living Stones in Davao City — a live-in home for former street children, where each child was taught one-to-one until ready to enter school.

Feeding programmes

Regular feeding and teaching for children living on the streets — a meal, basic lessons, and a first step away from street life.

Nutrition & health outreach

Weekly distribution of children's vitamins and medical supplies with partner organisations — reaching families in some of Davao's poorest neighbourhoods, including the city dumpsite community.

Sponsorship & adoption

Individual sponsors for every child in our care, and — where adoption is the right path — carefully prepared files through licensed inter-country adoption agencies.

Volunteers

From one week to one year, volunteers have served with us in teaching, care and practical projects — each within their own expertise.

“To minister to the spiritual, moral, social and physical needs of the less fortunate members of our society, empowering them to rise above their plight.”

A small Canadian charity with a long reach into the Philippines.

  2. 1990s–2000s — Davao City

Through the Living Stones Network of Hope Foundation, the ministry runs a live-in children's home, feeding programmes for street children, and weekly vitamin distribution with Manna Tech — reaching even the families living at the city dumpsite.

  3. Today
